Attach the Back Flow Prevention Valve (MLF-31) to your faucet by threading and turning clockwise. Note: If your household water pressure exceeds 50 PSI, be sure to use our Pressure Regulator (MLA-58). Also, if you wish to continue using a garden hose with your outdoor faucet, install a metal "Y" fitting.
Installation Step One

 | |
Attach the Hose Fitting (MLF-33) by threading it onto the Back Flow Prevention Valve. Turn clockwise and tighten firmly.
Installation Step Two

 | |
To attach the 1/2" Poly Tubing to the Hose Fitting simply lift up the locking collar to expose the raised plastic ring. Firmly push the Tubing onto the fitting until snug and over the ring. Hold the Tubing in place while you thread the locking collar in a counter clockwise motion until hand tight.
Installation Step three

 | |
Lay the 1/2" Poly Tubing along the desired path through your garden or landscape. Note: If you plan to run tubing in opposite directions you can use the Tee Fitting (MLF-34). To attach this fitting simply slide back one of the locking collars to expose
the raised plastic ring. Firmly push the 1/2" Poly Tubing onto the fitting until snug and over the ring. Hold the Tubing in place while you thread the locking collar in a counter clockwise motion until hand tight. Hint: Before unrolling the tubing, turn your faucet on to let water flow out the end. Apply the End Fitting (see step 8). Now
the weight of the water will make unrolling the tubing much easier.
Installation Step Four

 | |
You must remove the End Fitting and adjust your faucet so that a gentle flow of water comes out the end of the 1/2" Poly Tubing. This helps to flush out any debris that might enter the line before and during installation of the Stake Assemblies (step 6).
Installation Step Five

 | |
Decide where best to place your Misting Stake Assemblies (MLS-211). The average spray pattern has a 4-6 ft. radius; so placing the stakes 6 to 8 feet apart can be used as a general rule. Use the orange Punch Tool (MLA-51) to snap holes in the 1/2" Poly Tubing. For your convenience, Goof Plugs are included to repair any holes made by mistake.
Installation Step Six

 | |
To install the Misting Stake Assemblies, snap the Violet Flow Control Adapters into the punched holes. Then simply push the stake into the ground. Note: If the ground is hard you can use a hammer to drive in the stake.
Installation Step Seven

 | |
Once you have installed all of the Stake Assemblies, Slide the End Fitting (MLA-50) about 6" onto the end of the Poly Tubing. Fold the tubing over once and slide it back through the remaining hole of the fitting. Doing this crimps and seals the end. Note: To winterize uncrimp the end fitting and allow the water to drain out. Then replace the End Fitting.
Installation Step Eight

 | |
Now, go back and check your new misting system. Check for leaks, direction of spray
and the distance of spray patterns. If you find a leak go back and repeat steps 1 through
3 for installing the fittings and the 1/2" Poly Tubing. Note: To change the direction of the spray simply turn the Mister to the desired angle. To change the distance turn the Mister Valve. At this point, if you wish, you can simply cover the tubing with mulch.
We know you will enjoy years of efficiently watering your plants with our system.
