Coupler Only. Use this threaded 1/2-in FPT Coupler to connect to an existing 1/2-in riser and then to a Retrofit Adapter (MLA-P2PTEE-NOC) or (MLA-P2PELB-NOC) to convert an existing sprinkler system to micro irrigation.
Simply remove the existing sprinkler head from the pvc riser and thread the 1/2-in Coupler onto the riser. Then thread the adapter into the coupler. Once the 1/2-in coupler and adapter is connected to the PVC riser, simply attach the 1/2-in poly tubing to the adapter to run throughout your garden and landscaped areas
To attach the poly tubing to the adapter, first push back the locking collar to expose the barb with a built in O ring. Next, push and wiggle the 1/2-in poly onto the fitting and under the collar until snug
Now, while holding the tubing with 1 hand, turn the ears of the collar in a left counterclockwise motion to tighten and lock onto the 1/2-in poly tubing
Then, run the poly tubing throughout your garden and install micro sprinklers or drippers into your tubing
If you find it difficult to get the 1/2-in poly tubing onto the adapter fitting, use a little olive oil or vegetable oil by wiping it on the inside of the wall of the 1/2-in poly, and then push poly onto the fitting
