Use this Retrofit to PVC Adapter Fitting when attaching our 1/2-in Poly Tubing (MLT-71), (MLT-72), or (MLT-25) to run a water supply to Mister Landscaper's Micro or Drip Irrigation off an existing underground irrigation system.
Use the 1/2-in Male Pipe Thread side to attach to a 1/2-in Female Pipe Threaded Fitting that is attached to the underground-sprinkler system.
Attach the 1/2-in Poly Tubing by first pushing back the locking collar to expose the barb with a built in O-ring.
Push and wiggle the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting and under the collar until snug.
While holding the Poly Tubing with 1 hand, turn the ears of the collar in a left counterclockwise motion to tighten and lock onto the 1/2-in Poly Tubing.
This fitting can be uninstalled easily by unthreading the collar in a clockwise motion, then by pulling off the 1/2-in Poly Tubing.
If you find it difficult to get the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting, use a little olive oil or vegetable oil by wiping it on the inside of the wall of 1/2-in Poly, then push in the fittings.
