This Retrofit Elbow Adapter has a 1/2-in Male PipeThread Inlet and a 1/2-in Poly-Barbed Outlet with Locking Collar to connect to an existing PVC system. Easily convert a sprinkler to Micro Sprays by using this adapter to run 1/2-in Mister Landscaper Poly Tubing through your landscaped areas. No Coupling included.
Use the 1/2-in Male Pipe Thread (MPT) side to attach to a 1/2-in Female Pipe Threaded (FPT) fitting that is attached to the underground sprinkler system.
Attach the Poly Tubing by first pushing back the locking collar to expose the barb with a built in O-ring.
Then push and wiggle the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting and under the collar until snug.
While holding the tubing with one hand, turn the ears of the collar in a left counterclockwise motion to tighten and lock onto the 1/2-in Poly Tubing.
This fitting can be uninstalled easily by unthreading the collar in a clockwise motion, then by pulling off the 1/2-in Poly.
If you find it difficult to get the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting, use a little olive oil or vegetable oil by wiping it on the inside of the wall of 1/2-in Poly, then push in the fittings.
