Use this 1/2-In PVC Tee to 1/2-In Poly Retrofit Tee Adapter with No Coupling when attaching our 1/2-in Mister Landscaper Poly Tubing to run a water supply to Micro or Drip irrigation in opposite directions off an existing underground irrigation system.
This fitting will attach to a PVC riser with a 1/2-in FNPT.
Once this fitting is attached to the PVC riser, then next attach the 1/2-in Poly Tubing by first pushing back the locking collar to expose the barb with a built in O-ring.
Next, push and wiggle the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting and under the collar until snug.
Now while holding the tubing with 1 hand, turn the ears of the collar in a left counterclockwise motion to tighten and lock onto the 1/2-in Poly Tubing.
This fitting can be uninstalled easily by unthreading the collar in a clockwise motion and then by pulling off the 1/2-in Poly Tubing.
If you find it difficult to get the 1/2-in Poly Tubing onto the fitting, use a little olive oil or vegetable oil by wiping it on the inside of the wall of 1/2-in Poly, then push in the fittings.
