Assembly includes a 13-in Tan Stake, Vinyl Collar, On/Off Control Valve, 27-in of tan flexible Vinyl Tubing and a NEW 9 to15 GPH Flow Restrictor.
This newly designed and improved Violet Flow Restrictor (MLS-V10) minimizes clogging as it does not contain a diaphragm.
Use 1 of our various Micro Sprays (MLM-404, MLM-236, MLM-15, MLM-05, MLM-44, MLM-14F, MLM-55, MLM-03B, MLM-04, MLM-06, MLM-01, MLM-03, and MLM-02) that are sold separately to give the spray pattern you want
Use the enclosed locking Vinyl Collar (MLS-CLR) and push it onto the 1/4-in Vinyl Tubing at the top of the Stake Assembly and thread in the Micro Spray.
Use one of our punch tools (MLA-TOOL or MLA-51) to make a hole into the 1/2-in Poly Tubing, then snap in the blunt barbed end of the Violet Flow Restrictor/Coupler.
Typically, these Landscape Micro Stake Assemblies are placed every 6 to 8 feet apart throughout the landscape areas.
The On/Off Control Valve (MLT-BVA) can be used to decrease the water flow and the distance of the Micro Spray pattern, along with turning the water supply off to the Micro Spray for areas of the landscape with annuals, perennials, or a plant that is no longer in season.
RECOMMENDATIONS & LIMITATIONS
When installing any irrigation system, it is important to be aware of manufacturer recommendations and potential system limitations. Please be aware of the following:
INSTALL IN THIS ORDER:
Order of installation is critical for proper system function. To install our system, this is the order in which parts should be installed, starting from an outdoor water faucet.
1) Check your outdoor faucet to make sure there is an attached or built in Brass Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breaker that’s designed to prevent the backflow of fluids back into the potable/drinking water system.
2) Metal "Y" Fitting is suggested so you can still attach your garden hose.
3) The Electronic Mister Timer (MLWT-1ZONE, MLWT-TWOZONE, or MLWT-EGG)
4) Pressure Regulator: When using our Micro Sprays with a water pressure over 50 PSI, use our 40 PSI Pressure Regulator (MLA-40PR), & when using Drippers, we highly suggest using our 25 PSI Regulator (MLD-25PR)
5) 150 Mesh Filter (MLFF-41), is suggested for Drippers or when using our products with "well" water.
6) 1/2-in Poly Faucet Fitting (MLF-33), which connects to the 1/2-in Poly Tubing OR the 1/4-in Faucet Adapter (MLA-FAS), which connects to the 1/4-in Vinyl tubing.
For more information, please download our Installation Guide (PDF) with more information.
When winterizing your system, before the first frost, completely remove the timer and batteries and store them inside. You can use our Winterizing Plug (MLA-WHTPLUG) to seal off your 1/2-in poly tubing for the winter. After removing the Timer and Hose Fitting from the faucet, thread the Winterizing Plug into the Hose Fitting to seal off the line.
MAXIMUM RUNS
1/2-in Poly Tubing-Run up to 300 feet of our 1/2-in Poly Tubing, installing up to 40 of our Micro Spray Stake Assemblies (MLS-211, MLS-BLA, MLS-TAN), or Mister Risers (MLS-231).
When installing any irrigation system, it is important to be aware of manufacturer recommendations and potential system limitations. Please be aware of the following:
When installed on top of any of our Landscape Micro Spray Stake Assemblies (MLS-211, MLS-TAN, or MLS-BLA), the Micro Spray will only use 9-15 GPH, depending on your water pressure and total amount of Micro Sprays installed. The following test results are using the Maximum Run of 300 feet of ½” Poly Tubing with a water pressure of 40 to 50 PSI. The Micro Sprays at the beginning of the run will spray a higher GPH and they will use a lower GPH down at the end of the run. The lower the total amount of Micro Sprays used on a run the higher the GPH.
When using 40 to 35 Landscape Micro Spray Stake Assemblies, the Micro Sprays will use approximately 12 GPH at the beginning of the run down to 9 GPH at the end of the run.
When using up to 30 Landscape Micro Spray Stake Assemblies, the Micro Sprays will use approximately 12 GPH at the beginning of the run down to 11 GPH at the end of the run.
When using 25 to 20 Landscape Micro Spray Stake Assemblies, the Micro Sprays will use approximately 14 GPH at the beginning of the run down to 13 GPH at the end of the run.
When using up to 15 Landscape Micro Spray Stake Assemblies, the Micro Sprays will use approximately 15 GPH.
Attach up to 6 of our Micro Spray Kits (MLK-81, MLK-82T, or MLK-LG) off one faucet.
Minimum operating pressure for Micro Spray Stake Assemblies: 15 PSI
Maximum operating pressure for Micro Spray Stake Assemblies: 50 PSI
