This 3/4-in Male Hose Thread Winterizing Plug seals your Micro Spray and Drip Irrigation system to prevent insects and debris from entering the line during the winter.
First, turn off the water faucet. Unthread the Hose Fitting (MLF-33), Faucet Filter (MLFF-41), or Pressure Regulator (MLA-40PR or MLD-25PR) from the Timer.
If you have stored the Winterizing Plug on the side of the 1/2-in Poly Tubing, remove the plug or remove the plug from the package.
Thread the Winterizing Plug into the Hose Fitting, Filter, or the Pressure Regulator to seal off the 1/2-in Poly Tubing line. If a garden hose is being used, the winterizing plug can be used to seal the garden hose as well.
Next, unthread the Timer from the water faucet. Take the Timer indoors where the temperature stays above freezing. Once the Timer is inside, remove the battery compartment from the back of the Timer and remove the batteries.
